About

Life can get overwhelming, and sometimes it can be difficult to figure out what to do next when you're in the middle of it. You might be dealing with anxiety or depression, going through a major change, struggling in your relationships, or just feeling stuck and not entirely sure why. I believe therapy can be a place to slow things down, talk honestly about what is going on, and start making sense of it together.

I work with adolescents and adults with a wide range of concerns and backgrounds. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and major life changes. I enjoy working with a broad range of clients because no two people come into therapy with exactly the same story or need exactly the same thing from me.

My style as a therapist is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert on your own life. I'm not here to tell you how you should live it, but I can help you look at things from a different perspective, recognize patterns that may be getting in your way, and develop tools to help you move forward. I try to meet people where they are emotionally and create a space where you don't have to pretend that everything is okay. Therapy can involve some difficult and serious conversations, but I also think there's room for humor and being yourself when it feels appropriate.

My approach to the therapeutic relationship is person-centered, and I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also using motivational interviewing and solution-focused techniques when they fit the person I'm working with. I don't believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone. What works well for one person might not work for someone else, so I want us to figure out together what is actually helpful for you.

Reaching out for therapy can be uncomfortable, especially if you're used to dealing with things on your own. My goal is to give you a place where you feel heard and supported while also helping you better understand yourself and work toward the things you want to change.
